Biografía
Mª del Pilar González-de la Rosa holds a PhD in English Studies from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), where she currently lectures in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL). She has taught many undergraduate and postgraduate courses in ESP, EFL and Literatures in English. Her main research interests and publications include ESP teaching/ learning, service learning, postcolonial Anglophone literatures, Early Modern and contemporary travel writing and popular romance fiction. She is co-author with Mª Isabel González-Cruz of “Dimensions of the intercultural: British images of Spain”, a joint contribution to Travel essentials. Collected Essays on Travel Writing, (Chandlon Inn Press, 1998), which received the ‘Enrique García Díez’ 1998 National Prize on Research in Literature in English. Between 1993 and 2019 she was Secretary & Journal Assistant Editor of Revista de Lenguas para Fines Específicos (LFE), edited by the Department of Modern Philology, Translation and Interpretation at the ULPGC.
